2023-2024 Recreational Program Schedule

Recreational program has Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Activate (Parkour), and Acro/Tumble Performance Team options! The 2023-2024 season runs from September 11 – June 16.

You can provide a 30 day withdrawal notice at any point up until April 30th. After the 30 day period is complete no further fees will be charged.

CLASS ATTIRE/DETAILS

  • For all recreational classes children can come in a bodysuit or tights/shorts & t-shirt.   If children wear tights/shorts & t-shirt please make sure the t-shirt is tucked into their tights/shorts so it doesn’t flip over their heads when they go upside down.
  • Please send a labelled water bottle into the gym with your child to every class.
  • No shoes or socks required just their bare feet!
  • Parents will only be allowed into the gym for the Mini 1 Parent assisted class.  
  • For safety reasons please ensure your child is not wearing any jewelry.  Stud earrings are fine. 
  • There is no food, gum or drinks other than water allowed in the gym.
  • Please ensure all long hair is pulled back and out of your child’s eyes.

2023-2024 MONTHLY FEES  

A non-refundable $45 Manitoba Gymnastics Association (MGA) insurance fee will be charged upon registration, once per year per child. This covers your child from September to August.

  • Mini Preschool classes (45 minutes) = $68.50/month
  • Jr. Spartans classes (1 hour)  = $82.45/month
  • Advanced classes (2 hours) = $140/month

There are no group or sibling discounts for any recreational, pre-competitive or competitive classes

Funding is available through KidSport and JumpStart for any of our classes for those that qualify.

GYM CLOSURES

  • No classes over winter break
  • No classes 1 week over Spring Break
  • No classes on any statutory / provincial holidays
  • No classes the weekend of the Spartans Winter Warriors competition

** There will be no makeup classes or refunds for the weeks/days that there are no classes as listed above or if classes are canceled due to unforseen circumstanes beyond our control.

Each drop in session is $10 cash only. Every participant must also pay $45 MGA Insurance fee which covers them from September 1 – August 31. Waiver for individuals under 18 must be signed by a parent/guardian.

Mini Spartans

Preschool Ages 18 months – 5 This recreational program is designed to introduce gymnastics to both boys and girls in a fun and encouraging environment.  The goal is to build basic fundamental gymnastics skills.

Junior Spartans

For school-aged children 5+

This recreational program is designed to continue to build on gymnastics skills and technique for both boys and girls.  The focus is on developing strength, flexibility and coordination in a fun and encouraging environment. The Advanced class is designed to start working on more complex gymnastics skills for those that have prior gymnastics experience.

Performance Teams

Teams will group children of similar ages

This is a great add on to your regular gymnastics class or a stand alone class if you are wanting a once a week performance type class.  This group will learn a choreographed routine with elements of  tumbling, stunting and acrobatics.  They will perform at the year end display and potentially at Gymnaestrada, which is a competition for a variety of types of performance groups to showcase their talent.

Activate

For preschool and school-aged children 4-12

Our activate program features a unique combination of elements from parkour, gymnastics and crossfit.  These classes are designed to build strength, coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.  This is a high energy class where children will learn new skills and work through obstacles to challenge their their strength and overall agility.  Perfect for a constructive way to expel energy!

Pre-Competitive

This program is designed for both boys and girls to prepare them to enter into the competitive stream.  Assessments are done to determine if the pre-competitive program is appropriate.  This structured program is designed to build strength, agility, flexibility and technique.  The time commitment in this program ranges from 1-2 hours per week.

Competitive


Competitive Artistic Gymnastics

This structured program is designed to build on more complex gymnastics skills and build strength, agility, flexibility and technique.  There are specific technical skills required to compete at each level and all gymnasts will be assessed prior to placement in any level.  These gymnasts will compete in Manitoba and may compete across Canada and the USA as well.  The time commitment in this program is 4-20 hours per week.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Rhythmic gymnastics is perfect for your child that loves gymnastics and dancing.  Rhythmic combines elements of dance, acrobatics, tumbling while working with ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes and clubs in a choreographed dance-and-tumble routine.  This structured program is designed to develop more complex rhythmic gymnastics skills and build strength, agility, flexibility and technique.  There are specific technical skills required to compete at each level and all gymnasts will be assessed prior to placement in any level.  These gymnasts will compete in Manitoba and may compete across Canada and the USA as well.  The time commitment in a pre-competitive & competitive program is 2-12 hours per week.
